The Institute of Urban History at Stockholm University invites PhD students to a workshop on the history of cities and places. The conference will be held over two days at Stockholm University. The workshop concerns The history of cities and places in a broad perspective. Welcome.

Call for paper

If you are interested to participate, please submit an abstract, no longer than 2500 characters, describing the main features of your ongoing doctoral research. Notification of acceptance will be sent by 30 September. The deadline for abstract submission is 15 September 2022.

The workshop concerns The history of cities and places in a broad perspective. We are looking for participants from a variety of disciplines, such as: history, ethnology, cultural geography, environmental studies, sociology, political science, architecture, art history, business administration, etc.

The aim of the workshop is to give postgraduate students in the field of urban and local history the opportunity to present their ongoing research to colleagues, fellow phd-students and senior experts, but also, in the longer term, to create a broad national network in the transdisciplinary field of urban history.
